The boots provide the necessary ankle and foot protection, effectively preventing accidental injuries during riding and giving me more confidence when riding.

I was looking for a pair of ADV so that I can ride my motorcycle to a moderate/easy hiking trail of 5-7 miles without changing shoes. Ideally they would protect me while on the bike, and allow me to step into mud/water when on a hiking trail.

I got into a major motorcycle crash on my way to work. These boots turned a definite broken leg/ankle to a bad sprain. The boots only took some scuffing, withstanding a 50 mph collision with a guard rail. The sole on my right foot was the first point of contact. Soooo glad I was wearing these.

All in all, awesome ADV boots. Very comfortable yet seem to have a great level of protection. Easy to take off and on. The stiff soles are great to stand on as well. I would equate it to standing on floor boards. The only con is shifting. There is a learning curve to shifting with these boots who have tall toe boxes. I figured it out though, so I’m sure others could too.

The lining of the Adventure GTX Boot is very comfortable and will not cause fatigue even after wearing it for a long time, making it suitable for long-distance riding.
